Comfort of Home

Earlier this week, my mom had asked me to come spend the weekend, so I tried to get as much done as possible ahead of time. This basically consisted of getting Kali's "diaper bag" ready with her food, toys, and treats to keep her occupied for the weekend. She loves going to grandma and grandpa's house, and I love taking her because she wears herself out (thanks to grandpa playing with her outside) and when we get back home she's dead to the world.

I also go to play with my sisters fancy drink machine...I seriously love this thing! And the best part, is that I don't feel guilty about drinking it because its basically just water (at least that's what I tell myself).

Going to my parents house never gets old...it's a place I will always call home. It has a comfort about it that I just can't explain, and with the current situation of things, it's just what I need. Thankfully they only live like 10 minutes away. I seriously don't know what I would do if they lived any further, like 15 minutes away or something. I went to college close to home, I've always worked in close proximity to my parents, and I now live within minutes of their house. I dread the day (if it comes) my husband tells me we have to move for the military. Know how they always say "there's no place like home?" We'll, when your husband leaves for months at a time, this holds true more than ever. It's wonderful to have a family that's understanding, and will do anything to help you get though the tough times (oh, and pets of course!!).

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!! :)
